Welcome to the Frith Moot page.
Hail Folks!
Here is the Second Annule Southwest Community Frith Moot. This year being held in the majestic wood of Bluewater Lake State Park of New Mexico. We are hoping to make this a great heathen community building event for the overal Southwest of VInland and surrounding areas. There will be many individual heathens and several independent Kindreds in attendance as well as members and kindreds from several of the National Organizations, like the Asatru Alliance, the Troth and Asatru Folk Assembly.
This event is not being financially sponsored by any of the National Organizations. This event is being hosted by the Mountain Haven Kindred of New Mexico, the Wanderer KIndred of Arizona, The New Mexico Asatru Council, and Raven Radio for the purpose of building a better local heathen community. The event is being supported by the Asatru Alliance Inc. and The Troth through web site postings and public community support and hopefully some of the other Organizations will follow suite and let there communities and members in the area know what we are doing as well.
So here is the low down:
As this is a community event we would like it if those attending would sign up for a work shift during the camp out. Pitching in helps keep it smoth and comfertable for everyone, also this is a good Frith Building exercise and will help you to get to know your fellow Heathens. Most people will likely end up on a general clean up crew to keep the site clean and trash under control. We are looking for specific sets of skills and willingness for First Aid, Set up and Tear down, Children's Activities and Viking Games Assistants, as well.
The date for this event is set firm on June 24th, 25th and the 26th (that is Friday, Saturday and Sunday). The Frith Moot Site is at the Bluewater Lake State Park of New Mexico. This site is a developed camp site so there will be Bathrooms and running water as well as posably electricity. There is a $10 per vehicle charge to get in and that will cover you and everyone that came with you for the entire weekend.
Detailed directions to the site.
For anyone interested in coming early – please let us know. Set up and tear down help is always appreciated and welcomed.
If you are planning to attend would you please go to the Registration portion of this website and fill out the signup page and submit it. The information will be kept confidential and removed after the event. It is only for us to try to better plan to make this as welcoming an event as we can. The more we know about how many adults and kids we have the better we can plan seminars and games. Also this information is very important for meeting special needs of some of the folks in the community that may have allergies or health issues that might need to be addressed in case of accident or emergency. We like to be prepared.
